Queen Mary University was Frapont’s first project in the UK. Within the overall project to expand the original campus, Frapont has been in charge of the works in the common areas and the auditorium.
The Feature Wall, the main element of the project, is an acoustic cladding using metal and wood slats, between panels upholstered with absorbent fabric. A very special coating in which each plank has a different orientation, achieving a truly spectacular visual effect of very subtle movement.
In addition, all the reception desks in the common areas have been made, in which the integration of materials such as wood, metal and Silestone stand out.
A very interesting project that has forced us to carry out several special acoustic tests, to meet the required technical requirements and make our R&D an added value for our client.
