STAVANGER KONSERTHUS

“The work of Frapont shows very high quality, and the firm has shown good abilities for cooperation.”

O. H – STAVANGER KONSERTHUS IKS Director Project Manager

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The Fartein Valen Orchestra hall is part of the Kulturhus cultural complex in the city of Stavanger, in Norway. The venue, with a maximum capacity of 1,500 people, is designed primarily for symphonic music and is home to the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.

For this room of variable dimensions and acoustics, Frapont has carried out the study, manufacture and placement of the ash wood floors for the bleachers, balconies and stage, in close collaboration with the industrialists in charge of the scenography elements. A project with very strict acoustic requirements, where Frapont has been able to count on the support of the prestigious acoustic studio Kahle Acoustics, in charge of works such as Philharmonie de Paris by Jean Nouvel and Danish Radio Concert Hall by the same architect. For Frapont this project is a symbol of cooperation and good communication between industrialists, architects and clients, all to achieve an extraordinary result.
