ABOUT THE PROJECT
Frapont delivered tailor-made technical solutions for the Estel Building, covering interventions in the lobby, elevator cores, auditorium, changing rooms, and exterior features. The renovation was designed by BCA Arquitectes / Arquitectos García Alba SLP and executed by the Dragados-Elencor SA joint venture (UTE).
Frapont developed tailor-made technical solutions for the Estel Building in Barcelona, addressing key interior and exterior spaces. The building comprises over 45,000 m² of commercial office space, which required precise and well-coordinated solutions.
Interior cladding was installed in the elevator cores with Bs1-D0 fire rating, and EI-60 fire doors were integrated into milled panels. Additionally, suspended ceilings and slatted wall panels were executed in the lobby, along with screens and sanitary cubicles. Notable features include curved solid oak handrails and exterior bamboo cladding reinforced to withstand wind loads.
All materials used were FSC-certified and 100% Bs1-D0, with non-toxic adhesives. Frapont was involved from the design phase, providing technical consultancy and customized solutions.
Installation panels and doors were integrated seamlessly into the cladding, achieving continuous and functional finishes. This approach highlights Frapont’s expertise in tailor-made technical solutions at the Estel Building and in high-performance office projects.
