The new Head Quarters for the KAB, Denmark’s largest administrator of non-profit housing, focuses on the optimization of resources, both in construction materials and sunlight, to the reduction of energy consumption.
The project was undertaken by 5E BYG in partnership with Henning Larsen Architects. The situation of the 7,400 m2 office building on Vesterbro Copenhagen offers a new identity to the area. The interior is designed to obtain the optimal working climate in light, sound and ventilation matters
“KAB is an organization that is constantly looking to innovate, our challenge is to create a headquarters that challenges classic notions of spaces” Henning Larsen
In the quest for innovation in workspaces, Frapont entered the project to materialize and instal all fixed furniture and tea kitchens, together with the acoustic pine wall cladding at all floors. Furthermore we did the staircase cladding and balconies in baked pine veneer, where the grain and tone were specifically chosen.
We are very pleased to participate in a project like this, because we perfectly identify with the use of wood to create comfortable and modern aesthetics.
