The University Arms Hotel in Cambridge underwent a complete renovation in 2018 and now operates under the Mariott Autograph Collection seal. This classic British-style hotel, renovated by the Martin Brudnizki studio, now has 192 rooms, a bar-restaurant, a library lounge, a Ballroom and several meeting rooms.
Frapont has been responsible for the fabrication and installation of the counters, bar cabinets, bedroom cabinets, wall cladding and wainscoting, as well as the monumental entrance arches with hand-carved sculptures. In all of them there are brass inlays and motifs that give the project the distinction it deserves. For exterior doors, Frapont has had to develop bespoke technical solutions to meet the high British standards of safety and quality.
This establishment located in the heart of the historic center of Cambridge has been voted one of the 5 best hotels in the United Kingdom, and is listed in Time magazine’s top 100 places to visit in the world in 2019.
